In 2008 Smaranda Almasan earned a Master Degree in Fashion Design from the Art and Design University in Cluj, Romania. Another key moment in her career happened that same year, when she opened her own workshop in Cluj. Making leaps and bound in her craft and business, just one year later Smaranda opened a showroom dedicated to contemporary art manifestations called ‘The Paintbrush Factory’. In the past few years Smaranda has been invited to Romania Fashion Week, Vienna Fashion week and Fashion fairs in both Dusseldorf and Munich; where she has received tremendous interest.

What inspires Smaranda? "It could be a line in a book, a good movie, a life experience, an exhibition or a contemporary artist" she claims.
