Enthused by Hollywood and beauty queens, Ruben Satos reminisced how he started out by designing dioramas and creating miniature dresses during his youthful years. Fueled by passion and determination to reach for his dreams, he took up Fashion Desig at the Slims Fashion and Arts School in Manila and worked as an assistant designer for Mike dela Rosa in the 80′s. He has showcased his collections on Air France, vairous fashion shows and competitions in the Philippines and in the global scene, soon to find himself in the Middle East- living his dream.
In his early 20′s he was given a chance to work with the Royalties in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for half a decade. Thereafter, he was offered to launch Queen Palace Haute Couture, and have worked with royal families and clients ranging from socialites to diplomats from the Rmirates, Qatar, and Oman to name a few. A well-renowed designer, Ruben has received numerous recognitions and has been awarded as Designer of the Year in the Anyo 2000 Mini Fashion Show celebration Philippine Independence Day acclaimed by elites from Bahrain, Indonesia, Philippines and the UK.
When asked about his inspiration in designing, he shares that he draws his inspiration in music, accentuating the fact that music stimulates his imagination and creativity. It is noteworthy that Ruben treats his every work as his masterpiece, intricately monitoring every piece he creates. He describes his look as avant-garde, but wearable. Like his creations, Ruben is multifaceted. His his unquenchable thirst for evolution, he paints in the fabric, uses distinctive elements and designs accessories. “At the end of the day, I must sell the dress. It’s bsiness dear.” Ruben says
