Designer Dora Tokai is based in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, yet also spends time in her other home Dubai.At the core of the D’Ora Tokai label is a deep set belief that luxury needs to return to its original roots. This is expressed through the creation of personalised couture garments and accessories aimed at bringing Monaco’s style to the world.Dora passionately oversees the creation of every piece from start to finish. D’Ora Tokai’s pieces capture the essence of the Monegasque heritage and the Principality’s passion for driving. With skill and traditional knowhow, craftsmen turn fine leathers, tender wools, flawless pearls and precious gemstones into timeless beautiful garments and accessories.Dora has been busy, nominated for the Muuse X Vogue Young Vision Awards twice. In 2014 it is no different, D’Ora Tokai has showed at London Fashion Week and is also collaborating with a number of Miss Universe USA 2014 contestants. Dora’s inspiration is a coupling of her background in architecture, engineering and business, with her love passion for arts & design.After having worked in the interior design industry for a number of award-winning design firms, Dora transitioned to fashion design.Dora’s fashion work was first noticed in 2010 and off the back of growing requests and strong interest, Dora began work to start her own label. Launching her brand, D’Ora Tokai, in 2013 in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.
